Theater History

Originally called Erianger's Theatre, it was renamed the St. James Theatre in 1932 after the theater of the same name in London. The theater is now owned and operated by Jujamcyn.

Sunset Boulevard

Sunset Boulevard comes to the St. James Theatre after its hit run on the West End. Nicole Scherzinger reprises her Olivier Award nominated performance as Norma Desmond in this Andrew Lloyd Webber musical based on the Billy Wilder film of the same name. Norma Desmond was a famous star in silent films…many years ago. Now she’s trying to make her comeback with the help of ambitious screenwriter Joe Gillis…but he’s out for his own ends. Book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton and direction from Jamie Lloyd.

Wheelchair accessible seating is located in the orchestra section. No steps to designated seating location. All orchestra seating is accessible without steps except for rows Q, R, S, and T in the Right and Center Orchestra sections.

Are there assistive devices available?

Audio induction neck loops and infrared headsets are available. There is no charge, but a valid photo ID is required.

RULES & REGULATIONS

When to arrive: Doors open roughly a half hour before showtime. Give yourself plenty of time to pick up tickets and find your seats. What to wear: Whatever makes you comfortable! Some people dress up for the theater, but there is no official dress code. Children under 4 are not permitted in the theater.
